Registered as a foreign lawyer with the Law Society of England and Wales.Mr Palmer is the Middle East Regional Managing Partner for the Firm. He resides in the Muscat office where his practice focuses on providing advice to multinationals, banks and foreign governments in connection with their official and commercial activities. He represents both public and private sector clients in Gulf Cooperation Council countries in corporate and commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure projects and public procurement matters. Mr Palmer has advised on some of the largest and most significant projects in Oman. In 2017, Curtis advised the State General Reserve Fund and the Oman Investment Fund on their investments in four private equity funds. The Muscat team, led by Bruce Palmer, also advises national airline Oman Air, Oman Refineries Petroleum industries Co, and Oman Gas in connection with their projects, related financing and corporate activities. Mr Palmer has practised in the Middle East for more than 25 years and has lived and worked in Washington, Paris, London, Geneva, Riyadh and Muscat. Previously, he was with the US Treasury Department in Washington as a legal advisor in the Office of the Secretary. He was also a legal advisor with the United Nations (UNCTAD) in Geneva.
